What size urn do I need for my dad?

A typical 12 stone man would need an urn of at least 3 litres.

To calculate the size urn you need for your dad you will need to know his pre-death weight.
For every 1lb of weight, you will need 1 cubic inch of capacity.
To make it easier, 1 stone of weight = approximately 250ml of urn capacity. (4 stone = 1 litre)

What can I put in my dads urn?

Yes, you can put ashes directly inside the urn. If you prefer to be extra safe, you can place the ashes inside a bag before you close the urn so that any damage to the urn (if selecting a ceramic model) won't mean the ashes are spilt.
